Canterbury, Kent. England.
A historic city, beautiful, traditional, close the England's capital. A tourist hub. A student center.
So who would notice if one or two go missing?
1509...
King Henry VIII has just been crowned, and changes are being made. The City's Cathedral is in its finishing touches, and all of the city's inhabitants are as proud as possible to be living in such times.
Well, almost all.
It was always easier in a city of peasants, peasants could go missing, and no one would care. The Aluminita, a grouping of Vampires who controlled most of Kent, used the city as their main hub. The idea of religion being prominent there doesn't scare them. But the idea of people taking notice does. There is one way for their survival, for them to be on the inside, to be the ones Henry appoints.
But more than just these monsters lurk in the dark winding alleys of the city, and not all the city's monsters are mythical. Knights were sent to tidy the city of its scum.
And there is one girl. Insignificant though she may seem, she sees it all, everything going on which the city is hiding. She has a choice to make. To try and reveal what lurks beneath the surface, to ignore it, or to keep it her secret and see where it leads her.
Present day...
The University had been in place since the 1960's. Students travel far and wide to come here and study, knowing it's European links and it's prominence in certain courses, such as drama. The city is alive with partying and tourists coming to visit.
Yet something seems wrong, there is an increasing number of people going missing, and it all seems to start when one insignificant girl makes her decision, her decision to move down to Canterbury. Will she find the brewing uprising?
Still lurking in the underworld of the city are monsters, and those sent to keep them at bay have passed on knowledge to their ancestors. Will they chose to follow their given path, or try and live the normal life they crave?
Now there are Nights...and there are Knights...
