general;;
Esme is not unlike the other vampires; she is amazingly flawless with her pale skin that sparkles magnificently in the sunlight and shocking golden eyes when she has fed. When Esme is hungry her large round eyes fade to a deep black colour emphasizing her hunger and large purple circles will appear under her eyes. Esme’s face is heart shaped which is rather ironic for a vampire whose gift is to love passionately, she unusually has dimples in her stone face which shows the compassion she holds for others. She has often been described as Snow White with he lips as red as the rose and her shockingly innocent persona. Esme has shoulder length dark caramel coloured hair that showers down her shoulders in waves she never needs to do much with it as it always seems to be full of volume.
Esme much prefers to wear ‘comforty’ clothes regardless of how it looks on her, however with Alice around these things seem not possible and she generally finds herself wearing dresses that flatter her slender round figure. Her figure it seems never fully recovered before she was changed after the birth of her child which is why her figure is rounder than the rest of the cullens.

The ability to love passionately:
Esme is one of those rare souls who can love everyone for who they are, she can see the best in people, even those people who most loath she seems to see past the front people put up and just the person inside. Esme adores her adoptive family more than life itself, she loves each and everyone of them, each one is a part of her and if one was to leave they would leave a gaping whole inside her. She is never happy unless everyone around her is happy; she goes out of her way to make sure they are all happy. She would never dream of not being the perfect hostess and finds it important to give a good impression to all who may visit the Cullen household. However this gift also has its downfalls, she is too sensitive about people, it hurts her greatly if someone doesn’t accept the efforts she’s making to make the comfortable and happy.
The Monster:
Esmes not much of a fighter, she’s never been very good with violence, when she was human her husband beat her on a regular occasion. She was too afraid to fight back and merely let him continue to abuse her, although she only has vague memories of this from her human life it has effected her greatly in this life making her extremely vulnerable to attacks.
The Mother:
Esme in her human life lost a child, nothing can make up the loss of a child she always knew nothing could replace that child and there’s apart of her that wishes she could have another baby. Not to replace her lost child but so she could have something to love like she would have loved that child. Only something like that is impossible for Esme, so she looks to Carlisle and her adopted children to fill that spot in her heart that aches so much for a child.
The observer:
Esme seems to observe everything that happens in the family, if she sees a problem that needs addressing she wont bring attention to it in front of everyone but will wait until the time is right and discuss it first with the people it may concern. She doesn’t like to cause confrontation or to make things worse than they already are.

general;;
Esme was born on the outskirts of Columba to a middle class family, it was a small family just her, her mother, father and her older sister. She had always been the wild one in the family disappearing for hours into the forests that surrounded their small family home and returning with small animals that needed ‘treating’ for all sorts of injures. She had always been fascinated with the world; wanting to know how things worked she’d forever be looking up things in the books they owned.
Esmes mother became increasingly worried with Esme’s attitude, she wasn’t the lady like daughter she needed, she was wild and passionate. Esme’s older sister became of age and moved far away marrying a middle class man and becoming a housewife. Esme was her mothers only hope now for helping the family out of the financial rut they where stuck in. Only Esme had other plans, she desperately wanted to become a teacher when she grew up but her mother insisted she marry well and focus on her husband.
When Esme reached 16 she was out in the forest climbing a tree to see a robin that had nested in one of the oak trees. She was nearly there when one of the branches she had placed her foot upon snapped and she fell to the ground breaking her leg. Her mother called in the local doctor who unknown to Esme would turn out to be her husband in later life, or later existence.
It was that point in Esme’s life that her mother decided enough was enough; she dressed Esme up and forced her out in society. There where a few interests in Esme but non more keen than a Mr Charles Evenson, Esme wasn’t keen on him she’d read about love and her heart didn’t flutter when he entered the room nor did she feel at all interested in his advances. But her mother insisted she accept his offer of marriage, Esme never being the one to argue agreed at was married later that month.
Esme intended to try her best to be happy with him but she wasn’t happy in the marriage, Charles lost his temper with her often and would beat her. She became increasingly depressed her loving spirit crushed, when the news came to her that her husband was to be drafted in the war she couldn’t have been more pleased. Finally she could escape from his clutches. She could not help but wish that he would be killed at war but no such news came.
Two years later he returned to her much to her sadness, and it wasn’t long before she discovered she was with child. Terrified that Charles would take out his anger not just on her but on the baby she fled to her sisters. She already loved the child more than life itself and couldn’t wait to become a mother, as she waited for the birth of her child she took up a job as a governess teaching, something she had wanted to do for ages.
When she gave birth to her baby boy she couldn’t have been more happier, her heart ached for that baby, she couldn’t bear to be parted from her son. He was so beautiful and she was so proud to be his mother. Sadly her happiness was not to last, just three days after the birth of her son he died of a lung infection. Nothing could have hurt her more; she felt like God had taken her heart with her baby, she became increasingly depressed not seeing the point of living without her son.
One night she left her sisters house and walked towards the cliff’s edge, she watched the sea for several minutes before stepping off the cliff edge and letting the sea consume her. She has poor memories of her change, just the searing pain that consumed her body. When she awoke the first thing she wanted was for the burning thirst to stop, Carlisle helped her in her first year to learn to control that thirst.
She of course recognized him as the nice doctor who had helped her when she was just a child. The two realized they where meant to be together and it wasn’t long before their family grew.
Her life continued and they moved to Forks, where finally Edward met his soul mate Bella. Esme was pleased finally he had found someone he had been the lone man too long. Of course things weren’t that simple things where never that simple and a series of problems grew, each time the Cullen family battled their way through them. Each family member determined to help as they’d never seen Edward so happy. When Renesmee was born Esme couldn’t have been happier, she was a little angel so beautiful and clever and there was nothing she would not do for that child.
But time passed on and the Cullens had to move on, they travelled to a small village in Texas where they stayed for a while. They continued to move on to different places until one day Carlisle suggested they return to folks they all agreed. Esme in particular missed the forest and the peacefulness that surrounded the small town.

Esme was upstairs cleaning Carlisle’s office; she was stood on a stool with a duster in one hand and cleaning spray in the other. Carlisle wasn’t keen on her cleaning his office, he liked things the way he kept them but Esme didn’t see the harm in sneaking in while he was at work and giving it a quick scrub down. She cleaned his office at a speed more compatible with a whirlwind and was finished within minutes of starting. She beamed at her good work and exited his office smugly knowing he would have something to say about it later when he got back. But at least she thought with a smile, dust piles where not growing among his books.
She walked down the hallway towards the closet where she kept all her cleaning material and placed the duster and cleaning spray back with a satisfied smile. Tugging at her white cardigan she paused as a loud clatter sounded from down stairs; rolling her eyes she wondered what had been broken this time. She made her way down stairs determined to catch whoever it was that was destroying the house she had so thoughtfully designed.
Pausing at the top of the stairs she watched Emmett dragging a black plastic bag into the back yard, what on earth was that in the bag, it looked rather large to be something of little consequence. She frowned as she scanned the room to see what might be missing. If Esmes heart was beating it would have stopped at the sight that met her eyes, her beautiful ornate Parisian desk was missing from its usual spot under the window. She felt the uncontrollable flare of fury burn inside of her, how dare Emmett touch her Parisian desk. He knew how long she had spent restoring it; she had come across it when holidaying with Carlisle in a second hand furniture store in Montmartre. She knew immediately when she saw it that it was valuable. She had insisted he buy it for her and had spent hours restoring it to its original state. Later on she discovered it had belonged to Louis the 2nd, this added to her collection of rare items and she was extremely proud of it.
At least she thought as her eyes fell on the large ornate dining table in the kitchen that it hadn’t been that. That table was very valuable, belonging to Charles the 1st who’d reigned in England in the 17th century. But still Emmett had no excuse.
She watched Emmett sneak slowly to the bottom of the stairs “EMMETT DALE CULLEN” she said loudly letting her anger known in her tone of voice, “WHAT, exactly are you doing?” she asked as she slowly moved away from the wall so that her could see her. She floated gracefully down the stairs so that she was stood in front of him, although Emmett was a lot taller than her, Esme could still be intimidating when she was angry. She waited for his reply her hands placed firmly on her hips her right eyebrow arched questionably.
