;; appearance
general;; Carlisle, being like others of his species is amazingly gorgeous. His eyes along with the rest of his family are a smoldering gold color, his skin pale and flawless. Oh, and it sparkles like a million tiny diamonds are embedded into it when he stands in the sunlight. It kind of makes him, and all vampires, stand out like a sore thumb. His hair is a honey gold and is sleek and full. He never reached the time in his human life where he would have started losing hair of getting wrinkles, so he seems even more godlike. He has even been described as looking like Zeus's younger, and better looking, brother.
Carlisle stands at about six foot two inches. He may be tall but he has a muscular build and not a lanky one like some. He has a defined jaw which gives him a bit of an older look which is good considering he needs to blend in and be able to pass as someone in his late twenty's or very early thirties. His normal attire is his work clothes which consist of slacks and a dress shirt underneath. Normally he never wears the same shirt twice because of Alice, but he insists on re-wearing the pants and shoes. On his days off he likes his jeans and normally still a buttoned shirt. He's not much of a person for t-shirts unless he is playing baseball.

;; personality
general;;
- Dr.Cullen-- Carlise Cullen is the most compasionate vampire in existance. Not only is he totally immune to the scent of blood and is able to interact with humans more normally than the rest of his family, he has also decided to devote his life to saving and helping humans. When Carlisle is at work he is all business. He doesnt let his personal life get in the way unless it is of dire need. He really is a compassionate soul. Nobody can change that.
- Daddy Cullen-- When Carlisle is at home he likes to refer to himself as the father figure of his family. And notice I say family and not coven. He considers all of his companions his family. Not just someone to live with temporarily. Carlisle would do anything for his family, including if necessary, protecting them with his life.
- Confidential Carlisle-- Carlisle is the most honest and trustworthy person (vampire) I can think of. You can tell him anything and he wont spill to anyone else unless it puts your life, or anothers life, in danger. Kind of like a counselor at school you could say. He also likes to discuss things like politics, both vampire and human, and sports, so dont feel shy to just approach him and start a conversation.

;; origins
general;; Carlisle Cullen was born on March 13, 1640 in London, England. This was during a time of religious upheaval. Witches, werewolves, and vampires all were being hunted and a lot of times they were mistaken for humans. Carlisle was raised to be just like his father. He was raised to hate all things unreligious. Including vampires. And so he did. At least he made it look as though he did. In reality he had a very hard time hating anything. So he went on with life as usual until one strange night.
His father was old and it was time for Carlisle to take over the family business considering his mother was also dead. So, as an alarm went up about a sighting of a vampire in town he was the first to go out and find it. That was a bad idea. He found the vampire all right and thought he could scare it off. Another bad idea. The vampire attacked him, and he was close to death when a mob of angry people came around the corner, the vampire ran. The vampire was weak, and thought he could fight Carlisle, he could not fight a whole group of people. The mob, thinking Carlisle was dead left him lying there figuring they would be back. But when they returned there was no Carlisle.
Carlisle had dragged himslef into a pile of potatos and was enduring a painful transformation in total silence. Once the change was over he realized what he had become and tried several attempts at suicide and found he could not kill himslef. So, vowing never to kill a human, he starved himself. After too long he became so hungry that he feasted on a herd of passing deer, and realized he need not be a monster. So he perfected his resistance to human blood. He traveled around the world living here and there, even with the Volturi for a while. And while treating patients for the Spanish Influenza he found Edward and his mother and changed Edward. Soon after he found Esme and changed her too and fell in love. Rosalie followed, as did Emmett, and then Alice and Jasper joined. You also know all about Bella coming into his life and his grandchild Nessie.

sample;; [From another Twilight RP][Demetri]
The soft thrumming of the rain could be heard above the noise of the little, Itilian, city. Today, the streets were unusually busy, with cars and bikes and people crowding the little cobblestone streets. I was, of course, patroling the roads, and as always, my appearance was drawing attention.
My deep grey cloak trailed out behind me like a superhero's cape. The only difference here is that, to most, I am the villan. Being a part of the Volturi guard most of the vampire world has either come to hate me or fear me. Some even shudder or flinch when my name, or any of the others, is mentioned within hearing range. We are, in a way, the royalty of our world, but I prefer to look at it as if we are simply the police. The enforcers of the law. Still, though, I like the feeling of power, of being feared. I guess you could say it is my way of being noticed. My way of being the best of the rest. I am the tracker, and no one else can change that.
Within the walls of Volterra I walked at the normal pace of the humans. To me it is dreadful, having to move so slowly when, I am so used to my quicker pace. That is one of the many advantages to being a vampire. The speed. It is exhilirating to be able to move so quickly on your feet. Nothing, besides another vampire, can catch you on its own. And, with me being a tracker, the speed comes in handy every once and a while. Then, even other vampires cann't escape. Then is when my full power and abilities are shown. And yet, here I was, stuck patroling the streets of Volterra. The boring, all to well disciplined, streets of Volterra.
I now found myself standimg in the long shadow of the Palazzo dei Priori, or the clock tower, in the center of the city. From here I could hear about anything, and could definantly smell everything. The scents wafting through the air were all normal. I could recognize the scents of the other members of the guard including, Jane, Felix, and a few others. I could smell the tempting smells of the humans as they strode, unaware of the potential danger they were in, past me, occasionally bumping my shoulder or arm. I could also smell the revoting scent of all the human foods. It was disgusting, repulsing, and just plain gross to watch the people scarf down all the food. Hamburgers, fruits, vegetables, candy, fats, and too many others to name. To think that I used to eat that kind of thing is a horrendous thought, and thinking that I used to like it is even worse. What I was thinking I will never know, but all I know is that I was young, stupid, and most of all human.
After standing for a short moment taking in the scents I looked up above me to the tower looming over head. The stones used to build this clock were various sizes and shapes, yet, somehow they all fit together, like they were made for the sole purpose of coming together as one. I also noticed the colors, ranging from a soft creme color, to a deep, rustic brown. Not a two were alike, all were different, and yet they fit harmoniously into place. Made to be together. Not like us vampires, for instance, the Cullens and the Volturi. The Cullens, or the freaks of the vampire world, was the second largest coven besides us, the Volturi. And they had a strange alliance with the werewolves near them. Well... not exactally werewolves, but more like shape shifters that just happened to morph into giant, vampire killing, dogs. It was scary, and unnatural, and downright wrong. But, we, the Volturi were everything a vampire should be. Law abiding, human eating, and powerful. In a way we were invincible.
I love that word. Invincible. Utterly--- Me .
