;; appearance
general;;"I stared because their faces, so different, so similar, were all devastatingly, inhumanly beautiful."
Bella originally describes Rosalie as statuesque, with a beautiful figure like those in Sports Illustrated; one that "made every girl around her take a hit on her self-esteem just by being in the same room." Like all vampires, Rosalie's looks were enhanced when she was changed. The thing that sets Rose apart is the fact that she was very pretty as a human. Because of this she's extremely beautiful - even for vampire standards. There are certain aspects of her looks that she shares with her family. Her skin is like alabaster, and it sparkles in the sun. When nature calls her eyes are the deepest black; and when she's fed they're a soft golden color.
Underneath her eyes lie dark, purple, bruise-like shadows - making it seem like she hasn't slept in a while to a human. All of her features are very angular and precise. Despite the seeming harshness of her features, Rosalie's appearance is very angelic. Forever frozen at eighteen, she definitely possesses the innocent and docile beauty of her time period. Rosalie has a natural sort of radiance. To those that don't know her she might appear showy. This is because Rosalie carries herself with a bit of an arrogant attitude. She's conceited, but she knows that she has a reason.
favorite;; Being the vain girl that she his, Rosalie has her frequent moments when she's glued to her reflection. Her long, wavy golden hair hangs gracefully to her waist - something that Rose is rather fond of. She also likes being on the taller side, because she thinks that her model-esque appearance is set off nicely when she's around Emmett.
hate;; Some say that the truth hides in your eyes, and Rosalie agrees with this. She detests the color of her eyes because they solidify the fact that she is something that she despises. When her eyes are golden Rose won't be as upset. Still, she hates that her thirst decides the color of her eyes.

ethnicity;; Caucasian

general;; Our dear Rosalie Hale is a very vain girl. Describing her as beautiful would be a bit of an understatement, and she knows it. Fashion is something that interests her. Though she likes to shop (especially with Alice), Rose would prefer working on cars any day. There is nothing [okay, well there's one thing] that she enjoys more than a pretty, fast automobile; especially when it runs better because she improved it. Working on cars is one of the few things that makes Rosalie truly feel relaxed.
Tenacious is a good word to describe Rosalie. She's very persistent about maintaining her values. A good example is the "Vegetarian" lifestyle that she leads. Rosalie's record is cleaner than most of her family's. She did commit seven murders - and she doesn't regret that - but human blood has never touched her lips. Being a vampire is not something that Rosalie would have wanted if she was given the opportunity to choose. This is not to say that she isn't grateful to Carlisle, or that she doesn't love her adoptive family. She simply doesn't view her non-life as a happy ending.
At first glance, one might describe Rose as shallow. It would be a blatant lie to say that she isn't; but what most people [and vampires] don't see what's inside. Sure, Rosalie can be a bit narcissistic and thingyy. She will often mull over her own perfection. These are all things that she doesn't have a problem admitting. It might not be obvious, but Rosalie has a deep side as well. She's very jealous of humans, particularly when they get to have pleasant endings. Much like Esme, she longs for a child of her own. Motherhood is something that she's always desired, even when she was still human. Having Renesmee around definitely helps, but that desire will always be there. Everyone has their flaws though, right? For Rose it's simply easier not to dwell on the past. She depends on Emmett, and her self-admiration, to keep everything together.
hobbies;;
[/li][li] Looking in the mirror
[/li][li] Being with Renesmee
[/li][li] Playing music
dislikes;;
* time[/u] - Partially because it moves so slowly, and partially because Rosalie knows that hers should be up by now - Rose honestly hates the thought of it.
* rage[/u] - Similar to jealousy, Rosalie hates being angry. Her emotions are forever dangling over an open flame. When something causes her to ignite, it's an immense struggle not to explode.
* boredom[/u] - This is a rather simple one. Rose doesn't like being idle or feeling useless. As long as Emmet's around this isn't a problem though.
* forgiveness[/u] - Rosalie has an extremely hard time forgiving others. Perhaps it was the actions of Royce King and his followers; but Rosalie hasn't been the same since then.
* those dang pups - Werewolves, Shape-shifters, call them what you will. Rose won't deny that they have been of some assistance - she'll admit it, grudgingly -at some point in time. It's true that she's almost grateful to them. Liking them is out of the question, however. They can thank Jacob Black for that.
* fighting[/u] - It may sound corny, but violence is not the answer! Okay, so maybe Rosalie won't go that far; but she honestly does dislike fighting. If something is threatening her Emmett, or the rest of the family she will take action.
* "crimson vampires"[/u] - *cough*Volturi*cough* As far as Rosy is concerned, Vampires are something that shouldn't exist. She dislikes the human bloodsuckers above all, but it's nothing close to hate. Rosalie knows how to control her mouth when she's around them.
* herself[/u] - Or to be specific, the fact that she's a Vampire. This is something that Rose has been able to tame to an extent. She complains a lot less than she used too. Still, Rose will forever regret that fact that she can never have a child of her own.
likes;;
* cars[/u] - Even though Rose doesn't directly associate with humans, she definitely experiences enough "human" emotions being around her family everyday. Unlike her darling family, cars are always something that Rosalie can count on to stay the same. They're sturdy machines that only take a little manipulation to get them to do whatever she desires. If only her siblings could be so simple.
* music[/u] - Similar to cars, music is something that Rosalie can physically manipulate. The piano is her favorite instrument to both play and listen to. Singing is a close second, but in truth Rosy appreciates a large variety of music. Everyone needs a way to escape, right?
* sunlight[/u] - It's such a common myth that Vampires don't like sunlight, or that it will burn them. Yeah, right. Rosalie is rather fond of the fact that her skin can almost throw rainbows. Plus the warmth feels delicious on her skin.
* mirrors - Anyone who knows Rosalie can safely say that she's rather vain. This is an indisputable fact, so Rose can't argue with you there. Being beautiful has a different meaning than it once did to this bombshell; but to cut a long story short she'll never grow sick of her reflection. Narcissistic much? Maybe.
* fashion - While Rosalie isn't a shopping fanatic like her dear sister Alice, she still likes clothes to an extent. It's fun to put outfits together (especially when they're for Emmett). Her like of clothes also plays into her narcissism. It's an excuse to look in the mirror, so why not?
* silence - You really can't accuse this vampire of being a woman of many words. Rosalie says what she needs to in order to get her point across. Granted, sometimes this is more than people want to hear. For the most part Rosalie doesn't like having long conversations. Opening up is hard for her to do because it shows a weakness in her eyes. So, if Rosalie takes the time to open up to you it'd be wise to listen. It might be a few centuries before she does again.
* romance - Physical connections are preferred over mental. But hey, with Emmett anything works.
* reading - Much like music, reading is another way for Rosalie to escape. Literary classics are her favorites, but all good books are appreciated. Books have a way of making humanity seem a bit more tangible to Rosalie. In a way, this can be painful, but it's a feeling that she will relish in.
* speed - Perhaps it's the fact that life seems to inch along at a hideously slow pace to those who have no time limits. Rosalie loves driving fast, but running is even better.
* EMMETT - Words can't even begin to describe how much Emmett Cullen means to Rosalie. He's her other half, her stability, and her reason for existing.
Fears;;
[/li][li] Upsetting Emmett
[/li][li] Things that can harm her family
[/li][li] Something taking one of her family members away from her
[/li][li] Being exposed
[/li][li] Someone hurting Renesmee
Secrets;;
[/li][li] For one, Rosalie wishes that she wasn't beautiful during her human life. After all it was her beauty that caused to her demise.
[/li][li] Rosalie is grateful to Carlisle for saving her. This is something that should never be questioned. Still, she wishes she wasn't a vampire.
[/li][li] Above all else, Rosalie wishes she had a child.

"Would you like to hear my story?”
If I pretend that nothing ever went wrong…
Rosalie Lillian Hale was born in 1915 in Rochester, New York. Her family consisted of her mother, father, and two younger brothers. Rosalie's father worked in a bank, making their family middle class. Rosalie was 18 in 1933, which was around the time of the Great Depression. Her family's financial status meant that the Depression was little more than a rumor to them. Still, her parents weren't happy with what they had. Even in her young age, Rosalie was able to aptly describe her parents as social climbers. They were the sort of people who weren’t pleased with anything. This meant that Rosalie was raised with a competitive spirit, and a fierce sense of jealousy.
During her teenage years Rose began to doubt the perfection of her life. This isn’t to say that she was unhappy. She was pretty – and she knew it. People couldn’t help but to notice her when she went out. As she aged her possessions became more and more sophisticated. Mrs. Hale had bigger plans than her daughter; though Rosalie never suspected them. She simply continued to go along with the flow. All of the attention was lovely, but something inside of Rosalie seemed to yearn for something more.
This is the hardest story that I’ve ever told…
One of the most prominent day’s in Rose’s memory is the day when her mother’s convenient mistake changed her life forever. After “forgetting” to send her husband to work with a lunch, Mrs. Hale insisted on having Rosalie deliver it. The young girl never questioned why her mother forced her to make herself even prettier than she usually was just to deliver a lunch. She simply did what girls were expected to do back then – smile and obey.
Mrs. Hale’s plan proved to be successful. Royce King, a member of the most important family in Rochester, noticed Rosalie at the bank. The first bouquet of roses arrived that night, and another followed everyday. Royce appeared to be the perfect gentleman. He catered to Rosalie’s vanity by spoiling her immensely. Parties, dresses, and exposure were all things that Rose quickly grew accustomed to. Soon Royce proposed to the eighteen year old beauty. It seemed as if things could only go uphill from there.
There had been a time when Rosalie felt empty, but that emptiness was out of the question. Rose actually found herself feeling sorry for her friends who were settling into a simpler life. They all had their husbands, modest houses, and children – all of which would never be as grand as Rosalie’s future. Still, she visited these unfortunate friends when she could; appearing to be sweet but secretly gloating at her much better life.
It was on one cold, April night that Rosalie’s life received an abrupt shock. She’d spent the better part of the day visiting her closest friend Vera. This was the girl who’d been married for around a year and had the cutest baby boy; the very same girl that Rosalie had once been jealous of. Realizing that it was dark outside, Rosalie bade her friend farewell. The only worry on Rose’s mind as she walked home was the weather, and how it would affect her wedding that was only a week away.
All too soon, that worry was completely cast aside… replaced by something much more tangible and brutal. Rosalie was very close to her home when she ran into a drunken Royce and his friends under a broken streetlamp. It was then that she came to find out Royce was no fairytale prince. With the help of his friends, Rosalie was brutally assaulted. When they were finished with her, they simply left her in the road to die. The pain that she felt was greater than anything she’d ever imagined, and for Rose that ending couldn’t come soon enough.
Happy ending’s gone forevermore…
Because of the smell of the blood, Carlisle Cullen came to investigate and found Rosalie in a horridly broken state. He took her to his house and she was bitten. Throughout the three days of immense pain, Rosalie gathered and rejected the truth about what she was becoming. In the end, she decided to stay with the Cullen family. Rose committed seven murders – though she never tasted human blood – and tried her best to move on.
Later on in life, Rosalie found her true other half in Emmett. He was being mauled by a bear when she saved him. They lived together, with the rest of the Cullens, as happily as possible. Over the years they became a rather atypical family. Alice, Jasper, Edward, Carlisle, Esme, and of course Emmett are to this day, people that Rosalie loves very much. They’ve settled down in Forks, and the few incidents involving Bella aside, things have been relatively calm. Rosalie still finds herself wishing she was more like Vera from time to time, but for the most part she’s getting by.
The rest, as they say, is history.

”Rosalie? It’s Bella. Please. You have to help me.”
***
Normally, Rosalie Lillian Hale was not the type of girl that one could label as dense. There were a lot of other things that one could label her as, though those names were the least of her worries right now. She shook her head from side to side for what felt like the hundredth time in an attempt to clear it. None of this was making sense! Edward and Bella had been gone for seventeen days. Seventeen simple days, that seemed like nothing more than a few minutes to a vampire. The question that had been dancing in and out of Rosalie’s mind appeared once more. How is this possible?
“Hold on, please, Bella.” Rosalie immediately recognized the rich crystal-like sound that was her voice, and realized that it was rather off. Taking several deep breaths, the golden-haired beauty attempted to calm down. Quite honestly Rosalie didn’t feel that beautiful at the moment. A green monster named jealousy was flaring up inside of her with a fierce intensity that made her feel hideous. It never was right of her to dislike Isabella, but that was something Rosalie had always known. Bella wanting to throw away her humanity was one thing; a trivial issue that paled in comparison against what the girl had to be going through now.
After a few more unnecessary breaths Rosalie slowly pressed the phone back to her ear. “Bella,” she began, immediately stopping at the realization of how sharp her voice was. Luckily Bella didn’t seem to notice her faux pas. The human on the other line was beyond that point of slight hysteria. Her voice was several octaves higher than it normally was, and she was rushing through her words so rapidly that even Rose had to concentrate. In any other circumstance, it might have been funny. But now definitely wasn’t the time for jokes. “Bella,” she began again, forcing a sweet tone to pierce through the thick wall that was the human girl’s words. “Who have you told about this?” First things first.
While Bella explained herself, Rosalie allowed a separate part of her mind to wander. It was official; Isabella Swan now possessed everything that Rose had ever wanted. The vampire suppressed a sigh by squeezing her eyes shut. Emotions rushed through her, making it hard to think. She was jealous, true. That didn’t stop Rosalie from wishing that she could reach out and give Isabella a hug at that very moment. It was all very strange, considering that Rose had pretty much privately declared her hate for Bella sixteen days ago, with the knowledge that she’d be bitten upon her return from Isle Esme. That doesn’t matter now, Rosalie assured herself. “Carlisle knows. Wonderful.” It was a tedious chore to make sure that her voice remained close to inaudible. Rosalie knew she couldn’t afford to give her family the edge of knowing what she was about to do. “It’s okay, I’ll see you soon.” Rosalie paused, surprised at the passion behind her words. “I love you Bella,” She whispered. “Everything is going to be okay, I promise.”
For the first time in awhile, Rosalie actually believed that
