;; appearance
general;; Maggie is a vampire, and therefore she is inhumanly beautiful, but perhaps in a much more different way than most females of her species. Maggie has long, curled red hair (much like Victoria's, except the color is a little less auburn) which she usually wears up in a bun to prevent it from frizzing everywhere. Her eyes were a light green with darker flecks in them- but now they are a reddish sort of gold (due to her current abstinence of human blood, they are starting to change color) and almond shaped.
Due to her constant starvation, Maggie is incredibly thin. She regrets that she can't change this- as it can often remind her of the horrible time she lived in. In height, Maggie is very small (since she never got the chance to completely finish growing) and stands at a mere 5"0, small for even a fourteen year old at the time. The malnourishment she suffered probably has a large part to play in her size.
Maggie is pretty much an Irish stereotype, little and red haired with a gentle sort of charisma. She might be the most human looking vampire out of her coven.
favorite;; Maggie likes her hair- it was exactly the same as her mother's.
hate;; her height and size, as explained it reminds her of the bad times she lived in.
heritage;; Irish
ethnicity;; Caucasian
;; personality
general;;Innocent.
Maggie was never a precocious child, and is incredibly pleased that she will in a sense, 'never grow up'. Her favorite book is currently Peter Pan, as it reminds her very profusely of the future she is going to have, as the girl who can never age. Mentally, Maggie is very competent, but there are some definitely childlike features that shine through her on a regular basis.Sad
Maggie has had a very traumatic history, and she hasn't escaped unscathed. She still feels a wave of guilt whenever she thinks of the things she has done in the past- and she knows that she's never going to escape the fact that she never even tried self control before murder. It makes her think what kind of person she is.Optimistic
Maggie never fails to look on the bright side of everything, which is one of the reasons why it's so calming to have her around. Her sunny personality never fails to put a smile on Siobham and Liam's faces.Thoughtful
Maggie has always loved reading, and she often thinks over the things she knows before acting on anything. She is not very spontaneous, her plans are always very well thought out, incorporating all the information she has of the situation. At the moment, Maggie is just a novelty of her coven, but she would like to be taken seriously. Some day.Self control
Maggie has very little of it. She wishes she didn't, but every time she's near a human, she's almost driven insane with want. It's lucky she's so good at concealing it, or Siobhan and Liam would keep a closer eye on her to prevent her from hurting anyone. Maggie doesn't trust herself to leave the humans when given the situation.Truthful
Maggie, due to her gift, is unable to tell anything but the complete truth. This can be a little disabling, obviously, but it can also enable her to not only find out things bout other people, but about herself. Her gift is effectively mind reading- except a little more precise.

;; origins
general;; Maggie's history is such a strange and tragic affair, nobody could possibly know where to begin.
Maggie was born the lowest of the low, the daughter of a pauper and his wife, the youngest child. She was born in the most unfortunate time to be alive for the Irish- disaster loomed as slowly but surely the potato crop failed. Even through the troubled times, Maggie was acknowledged to have a talent to be able to read people- and at the tender age of ten, she became an apprentice of a young American Lawyer. Of course, she was a woman, and in Ireland it was a well known fact at that time that girls were os little or no use. Maggie couldn't afford her gender to get in the way, and disguised herself as a boy so she could earn some money for her family, which were already close to starving.
Of course, as all secrets turn out, she was eventually exposed.
She pleaded her own case, begging that she only did what she did because of dire need in the circumstance. The town council were touched by her plight, and impressed by her maturity, and gave her no punishment, allowing her to continue training under the American Lawyer, earning a little money for her family to survive on.
This might have been a happy ending- and it was very close to being so, but three days before her thirteenth birthday, the Lawyer died of Typhoid, and left his young apprentice with no means of supporting herself. Maggie consigned herself to a fate she knew would be long and painful, she gave the rest of her money to her family, and ran away from ireland to give them an extra mouthful of food.
It saved her life.
Her mother and father died of starvation three months later, her siblings were hunted down by a vampire living in those parts. Three were murdered, one was changed. Maggie had stowed away on a boat to America, trying to endure the damp conditions to make it to the 'land of promise'. As on Maggie's luck, she was already on a particular vampire's hit list.
The vampire who would then kill her siblings had his eye on her- he had seen her in the village he had grown up in, and she interested him, so instead of killing her, he allowed her to change. On the boat, storms raging, nobody could hear the screams coming from the hull. It was the most traumatic changing any vampire has ever come across, to be surrounded by humans and have nobody even ask her what was wrong. They were used to people dying on the boat.
Even as Maggie had expected to die- she pulled through the fire in her blood, and felt strength coming to her fingers. More strength than she had ever felt.
Then the scent hit her. She smell of a thousand humans cramped together on the little ship, and the desire was nearly overwhelming. Maggie murdered three hundred men, women and children who had thought that they would make it to America- whole families, wiped out by Maggie's insatiable desire for blood. When her head cleared again, and she realized what she had done, it almost drove her insane with guilt.
She wandered across America, starving herself of any sort of blood at all, hating herself. She traveled still until America was far behind her and she arrived in Italy, looking for the vampires of legend, the 'Volturi'. After the chaos she had endured, the Volturi's cool organization was bliss for Maggie. After Aro had analyzed her, he decided that her talent was useful. Very useful- which was strange, Maggie didn't know that she had any special ability.
Slowly, Maggie grew accustomed to feeding on humans again, and became Aro's 'pet' of sorts. She grew ever closer to Alec Rossi, one of the Volturi's guard, and eventually fell in love with him. An unlikely couple, yes, but she reminded herself that stranger things had happened before in history.
Then Maggie met Siobhan and her mate, Liam. Their way of life made her think that she could do /some/ good while she was on the earth, and Maggie reluctantly left the Volturi for the Irish coven. Siobhan and Liam never knew that she had been a part of the Volturi, and Maggie intends to keep it that way.

Babies crying.

Maggie hated it here. Then again, it was hardly meant to be a holiday camp, was it? They were runaways, refugees, they were only here because there was no other choice. It was either America or death. Close call, huh? Maggie smiled softly to herself, curled up into a little corner in the bunk of the hull of the wooden ship. A leak dripped from the wood above her, and Maggie hoped to god that it was seawater or rain. The sanitary conditions were even worse on this ship than back on her house in Ireland.
Home.
It made her heart ache to think of it. No matter how dangerous it was, it had been the place she knew. Her whole family- they were probably dead by now. Maggie fought back tears, hugging her knees, and rocking to herself, realizing how vague their faces seemed now. She was alone.
"Excuse me?" Maggie looked up, and her eyes widened. The most beautiful face she had ever seen greeted her, a smile on it's perfect features. Maggie's mouth dropped open a little- and the man smiled at her, a comforting smile. It reminded her a little of her brothers- enigmatic, bouncy. Maggie raised one eyebrow, confused.
"Maggie, do you know who i am?"
"How do you know my name?" Maggie's instincts were telling her to get rid of him, the gleam in his eyes was too strange, too feral. Too... inhuman? Maggie shuddered, that was impossible, wasn't it?
"I know a lot about you, Maggie. That's why i'm going to save your life," Maggie looked at him quizzically, running one hand through her tangled, matted red curls and clenching her fists behind her back. Something was wrong, she could feel it in the way he was looking at her, like she was lunch.
"Wh-what?" She stammered, backing away a little to the back of the bunk. Slowly, the young man lifted her hand to his mouth, almost as if he was going to kiss it. Maggie's fear vanished immediately, and she peered over at him, almost fascinated by what he was doing.
"Ow!" She exclaimed, pulling back as he bit her... so easily, as if he was biting into butter. The warmth spreading from her fingertips was almost pleasant at first, sweeping over her like a duvet until it grew hotter and hotter...
The young man leaned over, and kissed her forehead gently, his lips as cold and hard as stone as he was smiling that strange feral smile.
"I'm sorry, Maggie. It's a small price to pay,"
