;; fundamentals
full name;; Anderson Cavagna
nickname;; Andy
birthday;; July 18th, 1709
age;; 399 {bitten when 24}
sexual orientation;; Straight
job;; Disk Jockey [ie DJ]
Canon;; Nope
Species ;; Vampire {omnivore – normally eats animals, but the occasional human is thrown in there now and again}
;; appearance
general;; Andy is about 5’ 10” – meaning he’s not exactly the tallest male in the Universe. He is aware of this. Don’t remind him. His cinnamon hair is never quite flat to his head – always sticking up in one direction or another. Often he allows it to grow a little longer – letting it fall just past his ears. Other times, however, he uses various forms of hair products (an item he enjoyed when it was first invented) and spikes his hair into messy, various strands. When Andy was human, his eyes shined with a bright blue – which he frankly misses. Since he became a vampire, however, they have fluctuated between gold and red…not to mention black. Thanks to his ‘omnivore’ lifestyle, they normally lie in the ‘very warm gold’ category – since the gold and red tend to mix at the half-way point.
Andy’s face is quite angular – much more so than when he was human. His square jaw comes to a close with a rectangular chin, rounding out his face nicely. Sometimes his cheeks are sprinkled with a bit of stubble – which simply comes from being lazy. At times he sculpts the facial hair upon his cheeks, to give him a more refined and cool appeal. In general, his appearance is quite relaxed and calm. Unless he’s dying of hunger – he’s normally carrying a welcoming smile and is far from an intimidating figure…for the most part.
favorite;; In general, Andy enjoys his non-human appearance. Though he misses his bright blue eyes, something about his new warmly-hued ones please him. Even before he was a vampire, Andy enjoyed his hair. It just did whatever it wanted, yet the look always suited him – never seeming out of place…even if it was, technically. Since he became a vampire his body has become…well…flawless. Perfect muscles…impossible to get out of shape. Those are the sort of perks that he really enjoys about being a vampire. He also enjoys his rocker/casual – yet fitting for his new career – style.
hate;; Andy hates his height. For a male, he’s short. Normal guys are around six feet – making him extremely self-conscious of his vertical distance from the ground. With all the ‘changes’ of being a vampire, one would assume that he would grow to a normal height. Nope. During his original human-time on Earth, his height was nearly tall – but the generations have yielded freakishly large children, making him feel like a dwarf. Andy also misses his blue eyes. He’s almost okay with his new eye color, but he never quite feels like it’s his reflection that’s staring back at him. He has tried blue contacts in the past – but they just melt. And make his eyes a strange color.
heritage;; English
ethnicity;; Caucasian
;; personality
general;; Ever since the first word in which Anderson spoke, he’s been a bit of a ‘rebel’. Sort of. His first word was “GOOBAHH” – while most were “DAH-DAH”. Why Andy’s parent’s noted ‘goobahh’ as his first word…he’s not sure. In general, the nearly 400-year-old vampire is a bit of a goof. Seriousness is not his thing. Though Andy can be very focused, he can also have no attention span at all. With his heightened Vampire senses, he tends to be distracted by nearly anything….even after hundreds of years of practice. In general, Andy is quite relaxed and laid back – knowing not to take life too seriously at all.
His outlook on life’s morals…is a bit shifty. Andy has a concept of right and wrong, but he tends to bend his owns beliefs. He might say that he never eats people, but throw him into a dark alley with someone trying to mug the short guy. He’ll eat him without a second thought. It’s for defensive purposes. Helps the police out – whether they like it or not. Andy is a bit of a flirt…to say the least. He’s normally avoided ‘nights with’ humans during his time as a vampire – but it would be a lie to say if he hadn’t tried. It normally ended up with one hell-of-a-bloody one night stand. But eh. He didn’t love any of them.
Though he’s got his rather ‘R rated’ side – Andy has quite a strong side of compassion and dedication towards his friends and towards those in which he respects. To summarize – Andy tries to do good, but also always tries to enjoy life.

;; origins
general;; Andy was born on July 18, 1709, in Oxford, England. His parents were nearly as high as one could go. They were upper class – mingling with the other fortunate wealthy few. They often brought Anderson to play with the other small children of the wealthy pairs, in which they deemed ‘friends’. Never questioning this way of life, he entertained the other spawn of the filthy rich – which normally ended up with severe punishment. He would probably still have the scars if he had stayed human.
With a private tutor, his education was slowly bringing him to the local standard of ‘scholar’ – educating him in the basic maths, literature, and music. By the time he was old enough to attend the local University – Oxford – he had managed to anger his parents to the point where they were nearly to the point of disowning him. Through the years, they had presented him with various women – all of which he had fun with. A little too much fun. None of which he had any desire to marry…and his parents found that out the hard way. Hours of scolding, followed by punishments which he had received since he was a mere child.
Safe to say, Andy was glad to escape his parents’ grasp to attended Oxford University. He already knew that they had bribed the professors to keep a closer watch on him because he was ‘horrible and undignified’. He simply hated the high-class mentality. They thought they were better than everyone else. But they weren’t. They were all human. Right?
While studying in the massive library, Andy glanced up as a door behind him slammed shut. Using any excuse possible to not study anymore, he lifted himself to his feet and followed the rushed individual – half hoping it was some random, busty girl who had sneaked onto campus.
In a sense, it was.
A woman turned towards him in the moonlight – her eyes glowing in a shade of what appeared to be red. Probably just the light. The girl automatically flinched and turned towards him – almost a snarl sliding through her teeth.
“Umm…you okay?” he asked, taking a step closer – honestly liking the whole ‘dangerous’ vibe she was giving off.
Appearing to hold her breath, the silhouette approached him.
“I will see you again,” she vaguely promised, before running off into the bushes. Stupid, random, crazy, forest woman.
Knowing that she was just insane and he would never see the figure again, Anderson continued with his education – taking an extra year to fulfill his duties as the student, before he was handed his certificate of attending and living through Oxford, and not failing miserably at life. His parents were pleased, and he was glad to be out of there…but not glad to be back into the clutches of his parents. At least that wouldn’t last long.
Within the next year, Andy’s parents purchased him a mansion within a day’s ride to their abode. Not wanting to be beaten again, the young man accepted.
As he moved a few of his parcels to the new abode, he was expected to have a grand ball to commemorate his accomplishments. Whatever those were. In all honesty, he didn’t want to have one…but no one really cared what he wanted, did they?
As the sun set on his new home, Andy snuck away from the mix of maids, butlers, and overall slaves – just to sit alone.
The bushes wavered in front of is eyes – revealing a familiar silhouette. Those eyes…
“You,” Andy breathed, rising to his feet, and the woman closed the distance between them…too quickly.
“I was letting you age…like a wine,” she smiled – Andy able to feel her breath upon his face.
“That’s a bit disturbing,” he admitted, staring down into her crimson eyes. They were just so…enchanting.
Grabbing his hand, she led him back into the house. He had nothing else to do, so he let her – watching as she silently slid past the staff of the house, and closed the door to his sleeping chambers behind her.
“Who--?” he began, but she pounced onto him – pinning him to the bed. He couldn’t move.
A smile spread across his face.
At first, it all went how one would expect this sort of thing to go – Andy already accepting the fac that he was going to ‘hell’ for his previous ‘sinning’ – so what should stop him from sleeping with this random jungle woman? Well…he soon figured out one very good reason.
As he kissed the base of her neck, she quickly rolled over, pinning him to the bed again. Andy smiled, closing his eyes as her cold lips pressed against his neck…but it didn’t stop there. The icy lips parted, as teeth brushed the skin of his neck. Okay…a bit weird, but he was game.
Andy’s bright blue eyes quickly snapped open as her teeth sunk into his neck. He tried to move but her freakish strength kept him from moving at all. He tried to yell out, but her hand quickly clasped over his mouth.
Within a few moments, everything faded from dark fear, to calm blackness.
Then he opened his eyes. Everything hurt. Everything burned. Everything felt like it was going to burst into flames or explode or something. Falling to his knees beside his bed, he dropped his head to the ground, gritting his teeth as it all coursed through him. The door opened – the sound of a tray being dropped echoed through Andy’s mind too loudly.
Twitching, he snarled at the maid, who was watching him with wide eyes. She quickly turned on her heels to run for help – but Andy’s gruff voice stopped her.
“DON’T.”
He winced in pain, arms shaking from holding up his weight. As they caved, his eyes rolled back in his head. He could see the maid running towards him. Then blackness.
The following memories are filled with a mixture of horrified faces, internal fire, blood lust, blind pain, blind fury, screams, and a bit of indigestion.
Andy’s eyes opened several days later – still clad only in his pants which he had awoken in originally. He felt as though someone had tuned in the world from its originally out-of-focus state. Everything was clearer. Everything was crisper. Cleaner.
His eyes snapped into the looking glass – which lay across the room from Andy. The surface now carried a vertical crack – splitting the young man’s image in half. Menacing red eyes glowed back in the reflection – his face more angular, chest and body more toned, skin paler, purple bruises under each eye.
Andy’s once blue eyes darted over to the body that was lying the in the doorway. Not a drop of blood lay on the ground around his old maid – but it was obvious that a cut to her throat had taken her life…or rather a bite. Perplexed, Andy – feeling a burning in the back of his throat – ran through the house, partially indecent, finding servant after servant – all with the wound to their neck.
Walking to the kitchen, he found a glass container of the newest delivery of milk. Lifting the glass, it shattered before it could halfway reach his lips. Now shaking, he backed away – agilely dodging the bodies that lay around the house. It just didn’t add up…
Until the cat walked in.
Within moments of smelling the liquid life flowing beneath the fur-coated skin of the culture, it was out of Andy’s control…but at least he learned the final variable of what the hell happened in his house. He had killed everyone.
Digging a trench behind his house, he buried each body carefully – adding a cross made out of twigs by the head of each house-staff. With that out of the way, he collapsed into a heap in the tea-room on the second story. He had killed them all.
So the local legends were true. Vampires were real. And he was one of them. With those blood-hued eyes.
Andy remained in his house – hiding away whenever someone came to the door, and avoiding all human contact all together. He didn’t want to take another senseless life…but he was so hungry. And the cat hadn’t tasted that bad. Maybe animals were an option? As he locked himself away from the world, he ventured into the wilderness behind his abode, tracking and feeding upon animals to avoid hurting his friends and family.
The years past – Andy’s anti-social behavior becoming the local gossip of the Oxford area. As the vampire finally grew tired of the visits from the people he really didn’t want to hurt – he ran for it – tired of being the creepy, anti-social, freak – who lived on the hill.
Even if that is what he was.
This began his tour of Europe – moving from country to country – joining some wars to find an ultimate source of blood without cost…while running from others. Most conflicts he forged birth certificates for and joined the fun; glad to use his freakish behavior and skill set to benefit another. It helped with his control around normal people too – to be able to target one human for dinner, while not touching the man by his side. The control he learned was unprecedented.
While not in combat, he normally found a lower roll in the local area – moving before his lack of aging was even though about being questioned. He occasionally ran into covens of other vampires – all of which had violent reactions to his existence. Stupid-snotty-covens. It was just like the upper class from when he was a chap.
With his control around people, came a choice. He could continue with animals, or switch back to people, without having the urge to eat every person he saw. Andy – being the little weirdo he is…chose the middle. He currently eats mostly animals, but does not have a problem with eating a human, if they piss him off enough and don’t deserve life on this planet.
In recent years, Andy grew tired of his native country – and all those that surround it. He wanted a change. Taking a plane (with an exhaustingly long amount of time to not kill anyone) Andy landed in Washington, glad to see some different scenery – and to listen to everyone with their funny accents. He quickly received a job as the PM DJ on a local Rock radio station.

sample;; “And…time for yet another commercial break. Feel free to randomly donate to the station to eliminate these pesky things. We’ll be back in five,” Andy removed his headset, spinning slowly in his swirly chair. He was thinking that the only reason he was hired for this job was because of his unique accent. And he was fine with that. Over his nearly four-hundred years of life, he had been all across Europe – morphing his accent into some strange beast that he couldn’t even identify. Apparently it sounded sexy on air.
Rising to his feet, he wandered down the hall of the radio station, walking past other PM radio broadcasts. Some had a random guest speaker. Others were just one or two people talking. Reaching the backdoor of the station, he looked over his shoulder – biting his lip lightly as he did so.
Then he took off running.
He could have a snack within five minutes – miles and miles away. Ah the glory of being able to run freakishly fast. It was far from the first time he had ventured into the wilderness during a commercial break. In all honesty – he didn’t want more donations. How would he eat than? No vending machines for his kind.
Feeling the brisk air blow past, a smile spread across the vampire’s face. He still loved the running bit of being a vampire. Nearly four-hundred years…and he still got a kick out of it. At least he had an attention span enough to hunt.
“Hey what’s that?” he asked allowed, jumping towards a tree, and springing up its branches with ease. So much for the attention span. Glancing out from the incredible height – another smile spread across his face. Andy simply adored heights. They were filled with more of the epic scenery than just sitting somewhere lower.
The moon hugged the horizon – appearing like a setting sun at night. It’s subtle grooves and concave areas appeared like a giant acne scarred face. Frowning at his odd mental image, he dropped his gaze, staring at the far-away ground below. To jump or not to jump? That was the question.
Oh screw it.
Pressing his legs against the trunk of the tree, Andy pushed off – sending him spread-eagle, outwards from the tree. He couldn’t help but allow a smile and laugh to escape his lungs. Before he slammed face-first into the ground, he carefully rearranged his body so he landed like a super hero – complete with the slow-head rise.
If only someone had that on video.
Or not… he thought with a frown, still annoyed at the whole ‘humans can’t know because they’re stupid bags of blood’…thing. He understood why, but it made life hard.
Glancing down at his watch, Andy cursed under his breath before racing back towards the station – slowing to human speeds as he burst out of the forest and reached the back door. He’d feed later.
Shooting a nod to the guy who worked on another frequency – he felt like he had pulled it off again.
“Andy – you’ve got a leaf in your hair…”
Oh…so close.
