So, after deliberation, this is what we came up with.
Firstly, all new accounts will have to be approved by a staff member before they can post. So that should stop the guests on the get-go. Also, all four staff members now have the power to delete accounts.
Additionally, once new member's accounts are approved, they will be put into a membergroup (human, vampire, shifter) that officially marks them as 'staff'. They won't have staff privileges of course, but we're working on getting all the boards so that only staff can post. Thus, no one without an accepted app and a blue name will be able to post anywhere except for the applications board and the advertisement board. Not only will this help the spammer problem, it prevents people flooding the board after they post their app.
I just thought I'd let you all know that this is what we came up with. And we think it will work.
