The One Ring of Sauron has been destroyed, and peace has been brought
to Middle-earth. King Aragorn Elessar has united the realm of Men, and ushered in a golden era.
But Sauron left behind a Shadow, and it lives still in the dark places of the world. The remnants of His dark creatures prowl the deepest corners of the forests, and the darkest tunnels of the mountains, wary of the new rule of Aragorn Elessar. And not all of the inhabitants of Middle-earth have pure intentions.
The deep magic of the world is at work. The Maiar are cautious. Some Elves
linger in Middle-earth, eager to see it settled before leaving it behind forever.
Boundaries are breaking, and the Dead are walking again in Middle-earth. A new era has dawned, and the road to total peace is a long one.
