general;; They say don't judge a book by its cover, but when the outside is beautiful what will most people expect? Elke's striking blond hair falls past her shoulders and a little past 'chest' level. It's like looking at sunlight in a bottle, the gold, honey and white all mixing in a confusing tangle of bright colors. Hidden behind long bangs and thick eyelashes are the striking set of brilliant sky blue eyes Elke possesses. With them, she shows her emotions and hides her thoughts from the world, and anyone who's curious. She's not a super model, she's not a giraffe, she's only five and a half feet tall, but she rocks every inch of it.

If you asked Ellie to go into her dresser and pull out a classic look for herself, she'd pull out a pair of dark blue jeans, a long sleeve, low neck shirt, and a military style button up jacket - and the occasional scarf. Her shoes would differ - of course - from Ugh like boots, ballet slippers, and tennis shoes. Though her outfit and her look and sometimes her style may change, there is an accessory that is absolutely never changed: her mother's silver watch. It holds a very painful memory for Elke, but no matter how hard she tries, she cannot part with it.

general;; One word: BAMBI! Elke is the wide eyed, innocent fawn that gets spooked by even the slightest thing. Shy and slightly timid, Elke will never take the first step to introduce herself to anyone. She's self conscious and afraid of what people think, she'd much rather hide behind a solid wall of brick and metal than face herself with meeting someone new. Its not that she doesn't like to have friends, its just that she's never been outgoing and doesn't really know how to walk up and introduce herself with out fear of being utterly rejected.

You could compare her to a butterfly, beautiful and mysterious, never staying still for too long for fear of getting caught. Elke is extremely flighty, and sometimes her sense of fight or fight leans heavily in one direction - the RUN AWAY! one. Once you get past her social dysfunctionality you'll see how amazing she really is. She wants to believe something of everyone, she wants the best for her friends. She's a dreamer full of ideas and...well...dreams. She's kind and caring, compassionate and extremely loyal.

To every light there is a shadow. There is a sadder side to Elke, a pit of grief and dismay that's slowly built itself over time. She fights with all her strength to keep the smile on her face when she's dying inside - and she's not an easy person to hurt. There's a wall around her heart, and if you find a crack in the stone, bust your way in, and then smash it to pieces, you'll never see how much pain she's in. Never will she ever show had badly she's hurting - not even to her most trusted friend.

general;; To know the full story you have to go way back to the beginning, to her parents. Elke's father, Stefan, was a Gypsy. His family had been Gypsies for centuries, and he was just like them. Dashing, handsome, mysterious and extremely skilled in his craft. He knew how to play the emotions of women, and so he bedded women all over the country throughout his nomadic life. Of course, he never counted on falling in love. She was sixteen, four years his junior, but she was beautiful.

He met her at a bonfire, dancing in the flickering light of the flames. He'd been shot through the heart, and so had she. The Gypsy's were not always welcome in the villages, and this particular village, where Stefan and Lena met, was one of those. Gypsies were believed to be evil and servants of the devil, but they loved each other all the same. Of course, the village became outraged when 16 year old Lena was discovered to be with child. The Gypsies were chased from town, and Lena was thrown in prison - for making a pact with the devil.

In a cold, damp, dark, cell of an archaic village in Russia Elke was born. Before she was discovered, she was smuggled from the village and given to her father, who proceeded to flee the region. Elke found out when she was eleven that her mother had been burned alive. Elke grew up in southern Russia, far from where her mother's village had been. She was given the best education possible and soon blossomed into a beautiful, talented girl. Of course, Russia wasn't the best place to live, so Stefan saved up money and flew himself and his daughter to the land of opportunity: America.

For the last several years Elke's lived all over California, but the scenery was becoming a bit too much for her and her father, and so they're seeking new shelter, in a small town called Forks. How will she fit in here?

The twilight air was still, afraid to move because of the beast in its midst. All was silent, as if the world was holding her breath, afraid to be found. IT was a horrible game of hide and go seek, one which the fool knew nothing about. The sky was painted in shades of deep, purples, thick blues and a few strands of bloody crimson, all the fading color of the sun. The great moon was already hanging in the sky, becoming bright and brighter as the light of the sun faded. And, while the great powers of the sky shifted domain, a great danger was battling for control of itself. A danger that could kill without a second’s notice perhaps, but of all of this, the fool was oblivious. He trod across the sweet smelling grass without a care, looking along the ridges at the multitude of creatures that glared back it him, some in shock and wonder, others in pity. No one every liked the ugly duckling very much.

So caught up in his observations, however, stupid little Nemo forgot to look where he was going. He’d been sure he’d estimated this ridge to be longer than the others, but alas, with a yelp of surprise (that would alert all to his presence) he tripped and went tumbling down the softly slowing side of the ridge, through a great group of brambles, and to his great misfortune, into a very unwelcoming thorn bush. Without giving a care to the pain of the thorns in his paws, Nemo thrashed about until he pulled himself free and then went tumbling down the rest of the way. The idiot was lucky, however, that his wild roll lost its momentum before he collided with a great tree. Quickly leaping to his feet, the gent shook his pelt violently, sending twigs, dirt, leaves and a few thorns flying like projectiles into the surrounding area.

Grumbling something to himself, Nemo finally looked up, if they could have, his cheeks would have been bright scarlet. To his extreme embarrassment, he saw a young lady curled up below the very tree he’d nearly run into. She was perhaps not ten feet from him, a distance quite uncomfortable for someone as ugly as he. Knowing his displeasing appearance, Nemo dropped his head in shame. The fools attempt at staying hidden had not gone at all as he had planned, and now he’d exposed himself in a very unsightly fashion. Standing on his too-long legs his stared intently at the grass as he spoke to the damsel, trying to the keep the embarrassment from his voice.
