species ;; vampire
;; appearance
general;; pixie. that's the term they all use to describe Alice. it fits, considering her diminutive height of four foot eleven and her voice, which even for a vampire is rather high pitched and gets annoying fast. it also describes her hair rather well, that black growth that sticks out of her head at random angles and is best described as "spiky", though that's not really the proper term for it. it defies definition, it really has a life of its own. and her eyes. they're usually a clear golden brown, which is a product of her vegetarian diet. being a vampire, that means she does in fact eat animals. it's human blood she refrains from consuming, which is often harder than it sounds considering her basic nature. however, she manages successfully with the rest of her clan.
her skin is often described as marble. that's because it's extremely hard. running into Alice is like running into concrete, or a brick wall. it's also very pale. vampires don't tan. in fact, they sparkle in the sun, and that's prohibitive to the whole tanning process. because of her deep black hair, her skin looks even lighter than usual. it also contrasts interestingly with the chronic dark marks under her eyes that are too pretty to look like the ones regular humans get when they don't sleep well. they're a deep, gorgeous shade of violet and set her golden eyes apart from the rest of her beautiful face, which is defined by sharp yet curving cheekbones and a high forehead. her lips are thin and pale like the rest of her face.
the rest of her body is slender and quick. her legs are thin and her hips curve nicely and look great in size one american eagle jeans. her arms are particularly slender but surprisingly strong. there's a reason she's the pitcher on the cullens' baseball team. she runs fast, even for a vampire, and her compact size helps with the speed.
favorite;; Alice is pretty satisfied with her appearance. she loves her black hair and is often changing it, though it's always cut short. she also likes her size, which she finds aids her in daily life and as a vampire.
hate;; the only thing Alice doesn't like are the dark circles under her eyes that characterize all vampires. they never seem to hide under foundation and she's worried they're too conspicuous.
heritage;; used to be caucasian, of German descent
ethnicity;; vampire
;; personality
general;; Alice is best described as effervescent. she's friendly, cheerful, and overenthusiastic, especially when it comes to anything remotely related to parties. just say the word party around Alice and her face will light up. you'll never hear the end of it. she tends to drive people nuts with her exotic ideas and energy level. usually, however, she's a good friend, though annoying, and manages to successfully get on anyone's good side.
however, she has a serious side of course. her strange ability to view subjective glances of the future adds to that. though she's able to "have a vision" on command, the most important ones come to her at unexpected moments. her eerie stillness while she's watching casts a tense air around the room. perhaps that's why she fell for Jasper, who's able to control the emotions of people around him. regardless, Alice is an excellent judge of the appropriate times to be serious, for example right before her brother begs the Volturi for a death sentence.
hobbies;; having silent conversations with Edward and annoying the hell out of him, dressing up Bella, dressing up herself, throwing parties, cooking for humans, playing baseball
dislikes;; the Volturi, werewolves, red-eyed vampires, slow cars, confined spaces, stubborn people, ugly clothes
likes;; beautification processes, her yellow porsche, parties, hunting, mirrors, playing around with Bella, being an annoying dork
Fears;; the Volturi's power, those annoying werewolves, being thirsty, James assembling himself, something happening to one of her clan
Secrets;; the research she's done about her past, her worry about James, the fact that she's stolen far more cars than people think she has
;; origins
general;; Alice doesn't really remember her human life. at all. however, being Alice, and thus being frequently bored, she's done research. she's discovered that even as a human, as Mary Alice Brandon, she had abnormal glimpses of the future. this defect drove her parents to put her in an insane asylum for the last few years of her human life. they then proceeded to announce her death, and apparently the date on her tombstone and the date on her asylum admissions form are the same. while at the asylum she was kept always in a dark cell, perhaps why she remembers so little. Alice was changed by a vampire who worked at the asylum in order to protect her from James, the tracker vampire who was hunting her. she and Bella are the only two people to ever escape James.
she is strangely grateful to the vampire who changed her, though she is unsure who he actually is. fortunately, her gift of seeing the future allowed her to successfully locate both Jasper and the Cullens. after meeting up with Jasper at last, she easily traveled to the Cullen's home in Forks. when she arrived, they were on a hunting trip, and were most surprised to find two vampires, one of them still rather young, had moved into their house and knew everything about them, but that's Alice's spontaneous style.
up until recently, her history with the Cullens had been rather uneventful. however, a certain human named Bella interfered. Alice didn't mind. but unfortunately, said human was a danger magnet. she's had to fight recently, which isn't something she's keen on doing. being fiercely protective, however, Alice is willing.
parents;; now, let's pretend they're Carlisle and Esme Cullen
siblings;; well, none really though she once had a sister named Cynthia, but we can pretend Edward, Rosalie, and Emmett are
other;; and then there's Jasper. he's kind of complicated. technically, he's her husband, but that's a little strange to them.
;; roleplaying
sample;; (sorry about the suckiness, but it's all I have on me right now)
Something about the familiar mayhem seemed large and foreboding. This was what, like the five hundredth time she'd walked through the frosted glass doors, down the hallway and into the loud, crammed locker hall? She was used to the sticky floors, the seven foot high tiled ceiling that was seriously way too short, the guys who's pants were falling down and the girls who stared at those mirrors inside their lockers that were always framed with ugly pink stickers. Oh, yes. This was normal. But yet anxiety seemed to flood the crammed space, seep into the cracks between the hideous green lockers and trickle into everybody's clothes. Something was amiss. Did anyone else seem to notice it?
Carefully, she fiddled with the black combination lock. 23-31-6. Like usual, it took about four tries to get the thing unlocked. Finally, the locker door swing open, and she grabbed one of her colorfully decorated binders, marked "English". The locker stank of body odor, but there wasn't much she could do about that. Quickly, before anyone noticed, she shut it again, only to realize that she'd forgotten her spiral inside. Grumbling, she fiddlied with the lock again. "Well, this day sucks already," she remarked to no one in particular.
Oh, yes. Kynaveta slammed her locker shut, her English 11 spiral and binders under her left arm and the case that carries her sleek aluminum MacBook in the other. She made her way to Room 212, where everyone waited tensely. "Something's weird today," she muttered.
The door opened, and the class filed in, more orderly than usual. They sat at their desks, and carefully, without looking at each other, organized their papers. A blanket of awkwardness hung in the usually loose atmosphere as the students turned in their papers. Kynaveta clicked open her laptop and opened a new document, ready to take her usually careful notes. However, instead of launching into some lecture about The Taming of the Shrew or something, her teacher paused near the back of the room, as is she'd suddenly decided all of her students had eyes in the back of their heads and therefore had the capability to understand everything she said from behind them.
Many of the students exchanged glances or fiddled with pencils. A couple of them had worried expressions covering their faces already, as if they knew what she was going to day. The room was filled with a loud, sweaty silence, too awkward and anxious for Kynaveta to sit comfortably.
"Students," a voice finally said over the intercom, causing everyone to twitch nervously. "You may have heard of the accident last night. But if you haven't, here are the details."
