full name;; Aro Scorpio Volturi
nickname;; do you have a death wish?
birthday;; winter, a very long time ago
age;; nearly two thousand years old
sexual orientation;; straight
job;; leader and spokesperson of the Volturi
Canon;; of course
Species ;; vampire
;; appearance
general;; Aro's appearance is intentionally frightening. His skin is perhaps the most ghostlike aspect of his body. Thousands of years have turned it translucent, nearly transparent, and so it has a slight pinkish tint from the muscles beneath it. In all honestly, it looks dead, and it doesn't sparkle very much in the sunlight either due to its immense age. His eyes are a dark yet milky red due to his traditional diet of human blood, though their pupils are the purest back and large enough to make anyone, even a strong vampire, tremble. They are known for terrifying people and giving them a sense of his power and uniqueness.
Aro's hair is also a product of his age. It isn't particularly wrong. Sometimes it's a sandy blond color, sometimes it's blacker than Alice's. That all depends on his mood and the occurences around him. At the present time, it's the former, but it's due for a change.
favorite;; Aro loves his eyes. Their originality, their powerful appearance, their red color, everything about them appeals to him.
hate;; Aro's not remotely vain. He's rather please with his appearance.
heritage;; the Volturi
ethnicity;; Italian
;; personality
general;; Aro is best described as ambitious. Thousands of years as a vampire have left him unsympathetic and always looking for ways to advance his own coven. He also enjoys conflict, always willing to exaggerate small issues unless it harms his level of power. Aro will sacrifice the ones he love to gain power and status in the vampire world, as he proved when he murdered Didyme. This is not a vampire you'd want to cross, because he'd probably kill you.
Aro has the unique ability to be able to see every thought one's mind has had in the past with a single touch. This is especially useful when he's interested in vampires with unique abilities, like Edward, Alice and Bella.
hobbies;; leading the Volturi, searching for new vampires to recruit, keeping an eye on the Olympic coven, strolling around the castle
dislikes;; vegetarian vampires, stubborn people, those who question his authority, sunlight, ambitious vampires, those who won't join his coven, large fights
likes;; overcast skies, his castle, those who submit to his power, victories, solved problems, vampires with their heads on their shoulders, diligent newborns, unique talents
Fears;; werewolves, loss of power, death, those who break the rules, too many vegetarian vampires
Secrets;; the fact that her murdered his own sister, his lack of trust in Carlisle, he doesn't really love Sulpicia
;; origins
general;; The Volturi, the strongest, most ancient vampire coven in the world, have ruled the vampire world for centuries, the past two centuries under Aro's leadership. They've done several things to ensure the vampires' inconspicuousness and create stability in the world throughout their history, including eradicating the Immortal Children and, at Caius' urging, hunting the werewolves of Europe and Asia to near extinction. Aro was in support of this eradication process and is still thrilled to know that only a select few werewolves live in these areas. They also cleaned up after the Vampire Wars in the southern parts of America. Generally, the Volturi have used their powers well to benefit themselves and the world of the vampires. They aren't oppressive rulers, but they are strict.
Aro, however, has a rather dirty history. A century ago, Marcus, one of the three leaders of the Volturi along with Aro and Caius, decided to leave. Aro feigned support, while all along plotting to kill Marcus's wife, his sister Didyme. This prevented Marcus from leaving, but ever since he has been melancholy and detached from the Volturi as a whole. Aro is extremely ambitious.
Not long after, a newborn named Carlisle, who had a strange aversion to the typical vampire prey of human blood, stumbled upon the Volturi while on his quest to determine the truth behind his nature. The Italian vampires tried to cure Carlisle of “his aversion to his natural food source,” but they failed, and Carlisle broke off from the Volturi to form his own coven of vegetarian vampires elsewhere.
Aro and the Volturi considered themselves allies of this coven. He refused to help Edward kill himself when he first asked for help. Aro has always been interested in Edward’s talent and tried to recruit him to join the Volturi instead of committing suicide. He later met Bella after she and Alice prevented Edward from getting himself killed, and additionally asked Alice yet again to become a part of the Volturi. Aro was disappointed when she declined, but he was both surprised and intrigued in Bella's 'ability' to block Edward's powers, and even more intrigued when she was able to resist his and other Volturi's powers. He allowed for Edward to take Bella back to Forks with the promise that she would be changed soon.
Most recently, Aro recieved news from Irina of the Denali Coven that the Cullens had created an immortal child. In response to this breach of their laws, the Volturi gathered the entire guard together and set out for Forks to destroy the Cullens. Aro, meanwhile, planned to use the situation to try to get Edward and Alice into the Volturi.
When the Volturi arrived, Aro and the rest of them were shocked to discover that the Cullens had assembled an army to oppose them, furthering their belief that they had created an Immortal Child. But they were only stopped from launching an immediate attack when they saw the werewolves that had joined them. Aro, in his usual fashion, acted as spokes-person for the Volturi. After reading Edward's mind and learning about Renesmee, the so called Immortal Child, Aro was both shocked and delighted to discover that she was actually half human. He was also intrigued by the idea of having werewolves as guard dogs, but angry snarls from the wolves convinced him that wasn't going to happen. Soon after, Alice showed up with another vampire half-breed named Nahuel. The knowledge that there were other half-breeds in the world and that they've never been a threat convinced Aro that there was no need for a fight, and he left with the rest of the Volturi. However, Aro was actually afraid of a fight breaking out because he knew there was a chance the Volturi could lose.

;; roleplaying this is from another Twilight site I'm on, actually. Catalena is Alice and Jasper's adopted daughter there. long story.
sample;; Alice slipped out of Room 328, home to what might possibly be the most boring and predictable biology class ever (honestly, one didn't need an odd psychic sixth sense to know exactly what was going to come out of that Baxter teacher's mouth), as inconspicuously as you typical four-foot-eleven vampire with spiky black hair found possible, which in the faithfully ignorant town of Forks was relatively easily. She rushed to locker 984, which held only a couple of well-used textbooks that she pretty much had memorized and a brown paper sack filled with food that hadn't left the school for months. She sighed, throwing her books onto the ugly green shelf so generously provided for all attendees of Forks High and slamming the door shut as so many other students did. She glanced down at herself, picking a bit of fuzz off of her black skinny jeans and throwing the brown-and-pink bag that carried her latest laptop, this one a MacBook, over her shoulder. No one noticed her as she silently clicked open the lock that held the door to the off-limits hallway shut, which wasn't surprising. Sometimes these Forks humans seemed retarded in all of their unobservant ignorance, but that was all the better for the vampires who'd decided to take up residence under these overcast skies.
Alice still wasn't totally sure why these corridors were off-limits. No one was ever here except for the Cullens and a few rogue freshman who'd gotten lost and mistakenly found their way into a set of halls that looked not unlike the rest of the school. These doors were home to a couple of classrooms and a few office doors that were always locked with no one inside. No one had probably taught in these rooms for years. Alice didn't remember a forbidden section of the school when she'd last attended, sixty years ago, but she'd discovered it on her first day back. The Cullens had silently claimed it. THey didn't do anything back there; just hung around, either skipping class or not willing to mingle with the humans in off-periods.
Alice located the door marked "Sophomore Science." Behind it was a relatively large classroom, barren of all but a few chairs and tables, which was jokingly referred to as "HQ" whenever her family made plans. It was the default room, located roughly in the center of the passageways and conveniently accessible from most of the major regular classrooms. She grasped the silver handle carefully, and turned it with a click that was only audible to vampire ears. She stepped inside. Catalena was there, as she'd expected, ditching her English class in favor of lounging in HQ, reading and listening to music. Alice could hear the music clearly through the cheap plastic earphones of her daughter's iPod, but no human would have been able to pick up the melody. "Hey," she said nonchalantly, pulling a chair up to the table across from Catalena. "I suppose most mothers would chastise their daughters for skipping such a core class as English. But I, for one, am in total support." She pulled her own iPod from her computer bag, along with a thin black book, one of the few she'd yet to read. "Anything worth talking about? Or should I leave you alone?" Alice grinned. The answer was obvious. Why would there be anything exciting here, Forks High school, a prison in disguise as a learning environment?
